Reading time 12 minutes

Our Eco-home sauna log cabins provide a haven of tranquillity; a place to unwind, cleanse your body and refresh your mind. Our saunas are not only amazing for your health, they provide the perfect retreat from fast-paced modern life all from the comfort and privacy of your own garden. They are heated to between 70 and 100 degrees Celsius. As the skin temperature rises, heavy sweating occurs. The heart rate rises as the body attempts to keep cool. It is not uncommon to lose a pint of sweat during a sauna session.

There are so many wonderful health benefits of regular sauna use such as:

  • Increased blood circulation
  • Improved heart function
  • Reduction in post-exercise recovery time and muscle soreness
  • Detoxifying
  • Increased metabolism
  • Weight loss
  • Pain reduction
  • Anti-aging
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Improved immune function
  • Improved sleep
  • Stress Management
  • Relaxation

It is generally recommended to spend 8-15 minutes in the sauna regularly to strengthen the body.

We have designed our barrel garden sauna with efficiency in mind. The barrel design takes up less ground space and due to its cylinder shape has a smaller internal volume which translates to quicker heating time.

Our sauna log cabins can be fitted with either an electric or wood-fire heater. Our sauna log cabins are built from high quality pinewood and are highly energy efficient. As our cabins are built from natural materials, the environmental impact is low.

There are various options available such as size, design, heating options, full or half glass door, an outside porch and/ or an inside changing room. A small and cosy changing room in front of the sauna room is a possible addition to our beautiful Eco-home sauna cabins. There are benches fitted on either side of the room and with overhead shelves so you or your guests can store clothing, towels, robes, shoes etc before entering the steamy sauna. Also, separating the entrance door from the sauna room with this changing room helps to retain the heat better.

Another fabulous addition to our sauna cabins is a small roofed terrace surrounding the entrance. Framed by wooden benches with backrests on both sides, the roofed terrace is perfect for relaxing before and after the sauna experience.

All of our sauna log cabin prices are available on our website www.eco-home.ie. We have listed prices both for the flat pack option and the fully built option. (Delivery charge may apply depending on location)
